Meet Dan Just

With over 12 years of professional experience in arboriculture — including work as a utility forester, municipal forester, and private consulting arborist — I’ve dedicated my career to understanding trees and helping people care for them properly.

I grew up in the Des Moines community and have a strong commitment to improving and protecting Iowa’s tree canopy. Most of my field experience comes from working along the East Coast, where I gained hands-on knowledge in risk assessment, urban tree management, and tree preservation in diverse environments. Bringing that expertise back to Des Moines allows me to provide high-quality, science-based guidance that homeowners and property managers can trust.
